Strange Maps

This is the map I have chosen that I feel shows an interesting aspect of America. The map depicts the journey that Jack Kerouac took across America that is the basis of his most famous book 'On The Road'. For me, Jack Kerouac gives off a real sense of freedom from his writing. When he took this trip he had very little money and still managed to travel where he wanted across the country, and worked when he needed to. This sense of liberty is something that I always associate with America as it reflects the vast landscapes that it has to offer. There are many figures who have become well known and highly regarded because of their books which describe their travels across the country and from the books I have read by people like Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs have proven to be very interesting.
