The Bald Eagle is one of the symbols of America, chosen by the forefathers themselves because of its exclusivity to North America and to show the Country in an impressive way and that is exactly how it comes across in this image. It says to the viewer that America is a nation that is majestic, strong, proud and brave. The flag swaying in the sky next to the eagle accentuates this idea and the setting they are in presents America as a magnificent and beautiful land.
The light spilling out through the clouds reminds me of the commonly heard phrase "God Bless America." The painting could be perceived as negative because it seems to say that America is the superior country as God himself looks down upon it, but I think that overall it is positive. It is trying to send a message that America stands for everything right and good and makes you question why you would not want to live there and be a part of that.

Straight away this image is instantly negative to me and I don't think I'd be able to find positive from it, other than if the America Dollar loses value then there could be benefits to the countries that trade with America!
The plane engulfed in flames and plummeting to the ground conjures thoughts of terrorist attacks and wars, obviously significant today. The fact that the plane is made out of money stands to signify the amount of money that the American government has spent (or wasted) on the "War on Terror." Unfortunately when people think of America, a lot will immediately think of the Iraq war, which has caused so much pain and suffering to so many that it has tainted many peoples opinion of the US.
America is the superpower of the World and this could be under threat as a result of the Iraq War and that is what the image says to me. It represents the downfall of a once rich, powerful and great nation.
